On the evening of Wednesday, September 09, 2020, George Clifford Panak 'Cliff', loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather passed away at the age of 73. Cliff was born on November 07, 1946 in Pottsville Pennsylvania, to George Paul and Martha Nester Panak. The family moved to Pioneer Drive, Baltimore in his early childhood where he would become a big brother at age 15, with the arrival of a sister named Jane.
After high school, Cliff joined the U.S. Army and served as a Medical Corpsman for six years. He was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant (SSG). He went on to have a successful career with Verizon, formerly Bell Atlantic, as a Cable Splicing Technician in the Baltimore area for 38 years before retiring and making the move to Florida. He had an extreme talent for woodworking and a love for John Wayne, whom he never forgot.
He was always busy helping out, whether by picking up the occasional truck load of hay, or making that trip to Lowes. He enjoyed solving crossword puzzles while watching the news on his "break time!" between his many amazing woodworking projects. Cliff spent much time in his wood Shoppe with his beloved pets and made certain they had their own comfy space to keep him company.
Cliff was preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Linda Panak, his younger sister Jane Williams, and children: Christina Fowler, Angela Tipton, Shirley Braun, and Michelle Radau. Along with three grandsons, four granddaughters, and two great grandchildren who will surely miss their Pop. Last but not least, his dedicated dachshund, Allie… who misses him so.
