Douglas                                 Harvey Gene Douglas, 78, passed away on Tuesday April 14, 2020. He was born in 1941 in Waycross, Georgia to the late Silas and Essie (Stinson) Douglas and has lived in Jacksonville most of his life. He is preceded in death by his wife, Polly Douglas, his son Luke Douglas and Brother J. Douglas. He loved karaoke, working out at the gym, his cowboy hat and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his sons, Mark Douglas (Mary McNew) and Michael Douglas (Elizabeth); brother, Charles Smith (Michelle); sisters, Shirley Newman, Diane Byrd (Allen), Betty Martins (Steve), and Janice Kesler; his good friend and companion Gayle Pass; grandson, Daniel Douglas, and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held on Friday April 17, 2020 at 1:30pm in Ferreira Cemetery. The family will receive friends starting at 12pm on Friday in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville. Only 10 people will be allowed in the funeral home during the visitation at any given time. Thank you for your understanding.
