James Tom Brookins

James Tom Brookins, 80, passed away on July 22, 2024, after an ongoing illness, in his
home in Jacksonville, Florida. James was born on July 25, 1943, in Live Oak, Florida.
James spent many years in the U.S. Navy, where he loved his job doing Naval
Construction with the Seabees. James was preceded in death by his first wife Jannella;
Surviving family includes his wife, Carolyn; Daughters: Donna Cunningham; Deborah
(Fred) Mata; Stepsons: Ted (Kelly) Drury; Mark Drury; Tim (Candy) Drury; William Drury
(Deceased); 42 Grandchildren; 38 Great Grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 9 AM at Cedar Bay
Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Rd., Jacksonville, Fl. 32218. A Graveside service
immediately following at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd. Jacksonville,
Fl. 32218, at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vitas Hospice. 7406 Fullerton Street, Jacksonville, FL. 32255
