James Lambert Obituary

James Joseph Lambert, aged 81, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2023, surrounded by his family. He leaves behind a legacy of love, humility, and kindness that touched the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Born on February 3, 1942, in Glendale, California, Jim was the son of James and Beulah Lambert. After graduating from Elder High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, he proudly served in the United States Navy from 1960-1964, including one tour of duty on the USS Constellation. He exemplified true patriotism throughout his life as he lived the Navy's core values of honor, courage, and commitment.

After his dedicated service in the Navy, Jim continued to serve his community as a Los Angeles County Deputy Sheriff and then later in life, Jim embarked on a fulfilling career in the
telecommunications industry from which he retired in 1999.

While Jim's accomplishments were many, his greatest source of pride and joy was his family. He was
a true role model of a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Jim treasured the moments spent with
his grandchildren. Whether cheering them on at sporting events, playing Rummikub, sharing stories
of his younger days, or imparting the wisdom gained from a life well-lived, his presence was a
constant source of love and support.

Jim is survived by his wife of 35 years, Cristina Lambert, whom he married on March 21, 1988. He is
also survived by his children, Monica (Ken) Daughters, Mike (Julie) Lambert, Bill Green, and Chris
(Joe) Lewis, along with his eleven grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends around the world
who will miss him dearly. His kindness, wisdom, and big laugh endeared him to all who had the
privilege of knowing him.

Jim and Cris lived in so many places that they defined “home” as where their hearts were; though it
was no secret that Puerto Rico was the place he loved best.

One of Jim’s greatest enjoyments was a sunny day on the fairway playing golf with his wife Cristina
by his side. His skill on the golf course was matched only by his enthusiasm for the game, making
lasting friends who shared his passion. Over the years Jim and Cris combined their love for golf with
their love for travel and were able to golf some of the most prestigious courses around the world. Jim
was too humble to brag, but he was very proud of his two “HOLE IN ONES’’ at his favorite golf
course, Dorado Beach East in Puerto Rico.

A memorial service to celebrate Jim’s life will be held at a later date.
Therefore please no flowers or other donations at this time.
