James Anthony Mazza

Mazza - James “Jimmie” A. Mazza, age 94, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on May 4, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born to Joseph and Rose Mazza on September 22, 1931. Jimmie was stationed in Germany as he served the United States Army.  After returning to the United States he met his soulmate, Shirley Mazza. They dated for 4 years and went on to share a wonderful 70-year marriage filled with love, devotion, and family. In 1974, Jimmie started Consumer Refrigeration & Appliance Service Corporation and went on to have the company for 42 years before he and Shirley retired in 2017. Jimmie loved working in his shop. He loved making desks, bookshelves and picture frames. Jimmie took pride in keeping his lawn neat and beautiful, but nothing meant more to him than spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Rose Mazza; siblings, Delores Gamble (Lucky), Madeline Brommer (Willie), Joseph Mazza (Madge), Johnny Mazza, and grandson, Mikey Mazza. 

Jimmie leaves behind his loving wife, Shirley Mazza; children, James Anthony Mazza, Jr. (Scoot), Michael Scott Mazza, Sr. (Beverly) and Angie Collins; grandchildren, Tony Mazza (Mandy), Scotty Collins, Cody Collins (Jenna), Amanda Robinson (Storm); great-grandchildren, Kristen Mazza, Daniel Mazza (Lizzy), Brandon Mazza, Kaylynn Mazza, and Easton Mazza; along with many nephews and nieces. 

A Celebration of Jimmie’s Life will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32218 with Kasey Dille officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
