James George "Jimbo" McLaughlin
March 15, 1948 – July 12, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of James George McLaughlin, lovingly known to family and friends as "Jimbo," on July 12, 2026, at the age of 78.

Jimbo was a devoted husband, loving father, proud veteran, and loyal friend whose kindness, strength, and unwavering love for his family touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, June, whose love and companionship were the foundation of their family. Jimbo proudly served his country in the United States Navy, honorably serving during the Vietnam War. His service reflected the courage, dedication, and integrity that he carried throughout his life. Outside of his military service, Jimbo found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid fisherman who found peace on the water, a motorcycle enthusiast who loved the freedom of the open road, and an adventurous traveler who enjoyed exploring new places. Above all else, he treasured every moment spent with his family and friends. Whether sharing stories, laughter, or creating lasting memories, Jimbo's greatest happiness came from being surrounded by the people he loved.

Jimbo leaves behind his beloved wife, June; cherished children, one daughter, Misty; and four sons, Chad, Cody, Wyatt, and Brandon, who will forever carry his love, wisdom, and memory in their hearts. He is also survived by his six loving siblings, Kathy, Lynn, Jean, William, Thomas, and Victoria; along with many extended family members, dear friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known him.

Jimbo will be remembered for his generous heart, unwavering loyalty, infectious sense of humor, and his undying devotion to his family and friends. His legacy of love, strength, and selflessness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will forever remain a guiding light for those who loved him.

A Celebration of Jimbo’s Life will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Cedar Bay Funeral Home. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
