Jamie Lynn May, age 40, a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 after an extended illness. Jamie was an adventurous, outgoing young woman who enjoyed NASCAR Racing, was a diehard Georgia Bulldog, loved being outdoors hunting, fishing, and challenging herself to live life to the fullest every day! She was a loving daughter, sister and aunt and her passing leaves a hole in the hearts of her family that only time and a joyous reunion in Heaven will repair. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Randall May.
Survivors include her parents: mother, Brenda Black (John), father, Johnny May (Teresa); maternal grandmother, Toni Adams all of Jacksonville, FL, and paternal grandmother, Vesta May of Pulaski Co., Virginia; brothers, Charles Adams (Amber), Johnny Black Jr. (Darling), Steve Rogers; sisters, Crystal Branton (Adam) and Felicia Black (Trevor) all of Jacksonville, FL.; numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, March 15, 2021 at Cedar Bay Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hughes Cemetery, Yulee, Florida.
Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday afternoon from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
