Janis Marie Mullaly

Janis Marie (New) Mullaly, age 69, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 12, 2023. She was born November 27, 1953 to the late Bennie and Margaret New in Savannah, Georgia. Janis married the love of her life, Robert J. Mullaly, on December 4, 1971. In 1984, she became First Lady of Calvary Temple Church of God, where she has served as Pastor's wife, organ player, secretary, Sunday School teacher, Ladies' Ministries leader, singer, and mother to many and served faithfully for 39 years. She was known as a strong woman of faith, prayer warrior, and leader. Outside of her church life, she helped build a business with her husband from the ground up and worked daily, running all the behind-the-scenes for the business, church, and home. She had a heart and compassion for others and would go above and  beyond doing all she could to help anyone in need.  

Janis Marie Mullaly was preceded in death by Father Bennie New, Mother Margaret New, and Brother George "Robert" New.  

Survivors include her loving and faithful husband and best friend of 51 years, Robert J. Mullaly; daughters, Charity Mullaly and Robin Mullaly; siblings, Ronnie L. New, Brenda R. Marrero, and Paul W. New. 

Visitation will be held at the Marrietta Church of God, 8076 Ramona Blvd. W., Jacksonville, FL 32221 on Wednesday, January 18th, 2023 from 10:30 - 11:00 a.m.  The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ronnie Jarman officiating.  Interment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
