Jerry John Nelson, Jr.

Jerry John Nelson, Jr., 57, passed away on Sunday, November 19th, 2023. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida in August of 1966 to the late Jerry and Linda (Green) Nelson, Sr., and has lived in Jacksonville all his life. Jerry was a graduate of Victory Christian Academy, he loved fishing, deer hunting, and spending time with family and friends in his man cave.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Jarese; uncle, Joseph “Jimmy” Nelson, and aunt, Jacqueline “Jackie” Nelson. His memory will live on through his uncle “Jon Nelson”; aunts, Sandra Davis-Patterson, and Sherri Bowman; cousins, Amy Patterson, and Brian Patterson; loving friends, Lean Bailey, Earl Bradley (Marcel) and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 11 am in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville with Pastor Dan Ruffin officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Jacksonville. The family will receive friends on Saturday morning at the funeral home starting at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the American Cancer Society (Lymphoma Research).
