Joseph Blockburn Higdon, of Maxville Florida, passed away on Monday, January 15,
2024. He was born in Jacksonville, FL on October 21, 1949, and was the son of the late
James and Lorelle Higdon. He was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Ella Louise
Higdon; grandson, Blane Coburn; brother, Marty Higdon.
Joe will be remembered by his siblings, Lonnie (Martha), David (Jenny) and Rita (Chris);
his children, JoJo (Wendy), Kevin (Natasha), Michelle, Josie (Warren) and their families;
and a lifetime of family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held with Military Honors on Friday, January 19th, at The First
Baptist Church of Maxville with Pastor James Croft officiating. The family will be
received at 11:00 am, open visitations will begin at noon. Services to start at 1:00 pm
with services and interment to follow at Long Branch Cemetery. Food and fellowship
will be held at The First Baptist Church of Maxville following the interment. The family
welcomes everyone to join them.
