John William Bramel, Sr.

John William Bramel, Sr., 85, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2022. He was born in Lexington, Kentucky in 1936 to the late Francis and Sadie Mae (Miller) Bramel and lived most of his life in Jacksonville. He was a Veteran and retired from the United States Navy after 21 years.

John is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara “Bobbie” Ann Bramel; son, John William Bramel, Jr., and daughter, Cheryl Williams. Survivors include his daughters, Cindy Bramel (Lacretia Pope), Cathy Posey, Chrissie Bramel (Al Blair) and his chosen daughter, Heather Johnson; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial services with military honors will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 11am in the Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, with Pastor Ed Suro officiating.
