John Edward Lee, JR.

Lee       John Edward Lee, Jr., 72,  passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022. He was born February 17, 1950 in Jacksonville, to the late John Edward Lee Sr. and Ruth (Powell) Lee and lived in Jacksonville most of his life.  He was a Graduate of Paxon High school class of 1968 and a lifelong member of Dinsmore Baptist Church of Jacksonville. John loved Drag racing, was a member of the PDRA Drag Racing Association  and he owned a Pro Nitrous Drag car. 

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Randall Carter. Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Gina Lee; sister, Johnna Dale Dunn (Rickie); nephew Ric Dunn (Amber) niece Amanda Dunn special friend Michael Raulerson, daughter Kelly Potfay (Daniel) grandson, Brantson Potfay , and numerous great nieces, nephews and friends.

 Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 9, 2022 at 11am in the Dinsmore Baptist Church, 10500 Old Kings Road, Jacksonville, with Dr. E. Winson Butler officiating. The Family will receive friends on Saturday at the church starting at 10am with services immediately following at 11:00 am. Interment will be private in Gainesville, Fl.
