John William Pare, Sr.

John William Pare, Sr. of Jacksonville, Florida, died Sunday, April 18, 2021 at the age of 89. He was born on March 3, 1932 in Bristol, Connecticut to Gideon and Mary Alice Pare. He spent most of his life in Jacksonville. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by all.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Gideon and Mary Alice Pare; sons, Joseph Raymond and Timothy Hare; daughters, Dorothy Basarab and Barbara Pare; brothers, Leo and Robert Pare and sister, Claire Cowette. John is survived by his wife of 46 years, Iris Pare; sons, John Pare, Jr., and Joshua Pare; daughters, Jacqueline Watson and Sherry Douyard; sisters, Lorraine Sherman and Julie Stout, as well as many grandchildren, great- grandchildren, great- great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held on Monday, May 10, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road in Jacksonville, Florida. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
