Jorgia “Joji” Ronan (Mendoza), 65 years old, passed peacefully away on October 23, 2023. She was born on August 7th, 1958, in Gingoog City, Philippines, to Ireneo Mendoza and Thelma Noel Bacus. She leaves a legacy and memory that is carried on by her survivors, including her husband Tim, her son Joseph Ruscitti, her daughter Shannon Ruscitti, her brothers Jacinto Mendoza and Jojo Bacus, and sisters Nenita Mendoza Basalo, Julie Deckard, and Jerrica Ivey, her half-brothers Enrico Condeza, Constancio and Raymondo Mendoza, and her half-sister Corazon Mendoza. Jorgia also had many nieces and nephews. She graduated from Midlothian High School in Midlothian, TX.
Jorgia loves and adores her kiddos Joseph and Shannon very much, and she loves her husband and soulmate Tim truly, madly, deeply. She loves her brothers and sisters and extended family and cherishes the time that she shares with them.
Jorgia loved to work in her flower gardens and her arts and crafts. She loved dogs, especially German shepherds and cocker spaniels, and for the past 25 years, had one or both as part of the family. She worked in various roles at several different hospitals in Texas and in Jacksonville, FL, including as a nursing assistant and as a unit secretary. Jorgia had a big heart, and it showed through her words and actions for her husband and kids, her family, friends, and strangers.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m., on Tuesday, October 31st, 2023., in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville. The family will receive friends starting at 11:30. Interment will follow at the Jacksonville National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
