Judy Marie Scott

Scott - Judy Marie Scott, age 73, passed away Monday, January 12, 2026.
Judy was born on December 17, 1952 in Duval County and was raised in Golfair Manor. She was the daughter of Raymond C. Scott (Scotty) and Irene S. Scott. She accepted the Lord as her Savior when she was 10 years old and was a member of Norwood Baptist Church. Judy attended Andrew Jackson High School and graduated from Riverview Christian Academy. She attended FJC and studied nursing. Judy obtained her Registered Nursing license shortly after receiving her nursing degree. Judy loved music, cooking, the beach and trips with her mom to the mountains
Over the years Judy made many special friends. She had deep admiration for UF Health Jacksonville where she worked for 30 years. She was recognized as one of the Great 100 Nurses of Florida as well as receiving many accolades during her employment at UF Health. Judy was extremely proud of being chosen to help start the Wound Care Team at UF Health which is now invaluable to Jacksonville. She also worked in the Cath Lab, In/Out Patient Surgery, GI Lab, Pediatric Cardiology & Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

Judy was survived by her sisters by choice, Cindy Shoffner (Charles) and Jennifer Pierson. Cousins Theresa Fountain and Ormon Caswell of DeFuniak Springs, Al Starrett, Janie Starrett, Barbara Weekly, Allen Johnson of Jacksonville and many more. She was also God Mother to Matt Spillane and GiGi to his precious boys, Myer Spillane and Easton Spillane. They were her “grandsons”.

Visitation will be Saturday January 17, 2026 at 10:00am at Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218, with her funeral service to follow at 11:00am. A reception will follow at the home of Cindy & Charles Shoffner, 3044 Jacob Fixel Court (904-237-0051), Jacksonville, FL, immediately following the service.
