Kathryn Susan (Wright) Hunter

Kathryn Susan Hunter, age 67, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021. She was born in New Port News, Virginia, the daughter of Randolph T. and Emma Sue (Frazier) Wright. She was a devoted spouse, mother, grandmother, and aunt. Kathryn served her country faithfully as a nurse in the United States Army. She was an animal lover, loved gardening, crocheting, cooking, pottery, and technology. Kathryn enjoyed learning and was considered an overachiever by all that knew her. She was a generous, helpful, and supportive leader in all capacities that will be missed dearly.
Survivors include her spouse of 26 years, Jean Hunter; daughter, Tammy Hoffman (Chris); grandchildren, Taryn and T.J. Burks; nephew, Tony Wright (Lindsey Hannah); three nieces, Candice Harper (Michael), Lisa Ferris (Tommy), and Angel Tucker; and Kathryn's two dogs, Zoey and Romeo, all of Jacksonville. 
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 28, 2021, in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
