Leo Abraham Wingate

Wingate                                           Leo Abraham Wingate, 84, went home to be with the Lord on Monday June 14, 2021. He was born in Jacksonville Florida in 1937 to the late Jess and Mary (Woods) Wingate and has lived in Jacksonville most of his life. He was a veteran and served in the US Marine Corps, and he was a member of Victory Celebration Church. He was a loving father brother and grandfather and will be dearly missed. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Angela Mullens; Survivors include his son, Windell Leon Wingate (Barbara); daughters, Donna Deloch (Mark), and step daughter, Melody Simmons; brother, Jody Wingate (Kathy); sister, Doris Shirley; grandchildren, Jessica, Stephanie, Jeromy, Justin, Matthew, Amber, Stephen, Heather, Marcus, Gary, and Alissa. Numerous great grandchildren, And a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday June 16, 2021 at 2pm in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, with Pastor Jim Matthews officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday starting at 1pm. Interment by cremation.
