Leon was born in Wilmington, NC on November 22, 1930. He graduated from East Carolina University where he met Clara, the love of his life. He served in the US Army during the Korean War effort and retired as a career State of Florida Public Health employee.
Leon had a warm hand and kind smile for everyone he met, leaving behind an impression on all who crossed his path. A man of character and integrity that surpasses defining. A man that loved his family dearly and delivered his love and caring in whatever capacity the situation dictated. A great man with an abundance of knowledge that too often went unspoken. A great man that contributed to the world what the world needs more of… “LOVE.” He had a profound impact on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him. We are so very thankful for the time we had with this great soul.
Our love for you will never end. Forever and Always Leon (Husband, Daddy, Pop, Pepop).
The above tribute was prepared by Leon’s loving family.
