Linda Cook Webb

Linda Cook Webb, born November 23, 1952, in Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2024, in Fernandina Beach, Florida. She was 72 years old.

Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband of nearly 48 years, Raymond E. Webb whom she married on May 15, 1972. He passed away on April 5, 2020. Together, they built a life centered around love, family, and service to others. Linda is survived by her two children, Lisa Webb Davis and Kevin Webb (Cheri). She also leaves behind three cherished grandchildren: Bryan M. Davis, Caleb Webb (Makenzie), and Kendra Webb. Her legacy continues through her great-granddaughter, Annistynn Lee Webb.

Linda’s heart was also devoted to her beloved dog, Taco, who brought her immense joy and companionship. Her generosity knew no bounds—she often cooked for anyone in need, using her kitchen as a place of healing and warmth. Her home cooking was a cherished tradition, especially during family dinners and holidays.

Linda found joy in mountain vacations, particularly during the fall, when she delighted in the changing leaves and spending quality time with her family. Fiercely protective and deeply loving, Linda’s family was the cornerstone of her life.

Linda was a devoted member of her church, where she cultivated an extended church family. Beyond her faith and family, she was passionate about shopping, traveling, and gardening. She worked tirelessly throughout life, finding joy and pride in her meticulously maintained yard and garden projects. Her dedication extended to her professional life at Hilliard Lifecare Center, where she often spent her earnings on the comfort and care of the residents.

Linda was predeceased by her parents; Dallas Cook and Vondell B. Cook. Her three brothers survive her: Eugene Walters (Jeanette), Dallas Wayne Cook (Jean), and Bennie.

Her life was a beautiful example of warmth, love, and genuine devotion; her memory will be cherished forever.

The Visitation and Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Cedar Bay Funeral Home at 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218.

Visitation will be from 1-2 pm, with the Funeral services starting at 2.

The burial will take place at Jones Cemetery in Callahan, Florida, immediately following the service.
