Porter - Lori Lynn (Stanford) Porter passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026, at the age of 53. Lori was born in Jacksonville, Florida, and spent many years living in Middleburg, Florida before later residing in Warner Robins, Georgia. She attended Middleburg High School and later continued her education at community college. Lori loved her family deeply, and nothing brought her more joy than spending time with them, especially her two beautiful grandchildren. She had a fun spirit and was a proud fan of the 1980s, loving the big hair and the music of that era, with Bon Jovi being one of her favorites. Growing up, Lori was the oldest of her siblings and naturally took on the role of leader and protector. Her family remembers her for her strong personality, her laughter, and the many memories they shared together. Lori was preceded in death by her mother, Rebecca Gordon; stepfather, Dennis Gordon; maternal grandfather, Walter Screws; and paternal grandparents, Ed and Elsie Hammons.
Lori is lovingly remembered by her father, Rodney Stanford; stepmother, Annamarie Stanford; son, Adonis Bridges; daughter, Alexis Bridges; and her cherished grandchildren, Laniya and Dallas. She is also survived by her siblings, Tammy Lee (Monroe), DJ Gordon (Iris), Natalie Saienni (Victor), Darlene Gordon, Ashley Manns (Blaine), and Rodney Stanford Jr.; maternal grandmother, Barbara Screws; along with many nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins, and extended family members who will miss her dearly.
Though Lori’s life ended too soon, the love she shared and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18
The tribute above was prepared by Lori’s loving family.
A Celebration of Lori’s life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of CEDAR BAY FUNERAL HOME, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, Florida, 32218. (904) 714-1110.
