Louise W. Johns

Louise W Johns, Born on September 24, 1930 in Maxville, FL to David W & Nellie Wilkinson resided in Clay Hill, FL for the majority of her life and was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. She entered into the gates of heaven on January 5, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. A woman of unshakable faith and boundless love, she was a shining example of devotion, kindness, and grace throughout her life.

Louise was a lifelong follower of the Lord, drawing joy and strength from her faith. Her church community was a cornerstone of her life, where she found fellowship and purpose. A devoted woman of prayer, she continually lifted her loved ones to God and encouraged them to follow paths of goodness. As the heart of her family, Louise was a loving wife to her husband, Floyd Johns, for 70 years, and a nurturing mother to their three children. Her boundless love extended to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who always felt her warmth. Her home was filled with love, laughter, and the aroma of her exceptional cooking, especially her treasured pound cake. Louise’s hard work was evident in every aspect of her life, from tending the family farm and preserving harvests through canning to nurturing her vibrant garden. She found joy in cultivating beauty in her yard and never let her hands rest from caring for her family and home.

To Louise, no one was a stranger. Her warm spirit and genuine interest in others made everyone feel special. She loved to talk, laugh, and share stories, leaving a legacy of forgiveness, compassion, and generosity that her family will always cherish.

Louise is survived by her sons, Wayne Johns (Brenda) and Ricky Johns (Dot); daughter, Belinda Johnson (Terry); grandchildren, Mark Johns (Erica), Justin Johns (Dallas), Christopher Johnson, Amanda Johnson Tucker (Cameron); great-grandchildren, Riley Johns, Hailey Johns, Eastyn Johns, Hayden Johns, Finley Johns, Adeline Johns, Lily Johns, Ella Barfield, Eden Barfield, Luke Johnson, Julia Johnson, Jacquelyn Johnson, Layla Prevatt. She is now reunited in Heaven with her parents: Buddy & Nellie Wilkinson; her husband, Floyd Johns; her brother, JD Wilkinson (Millie); her grandson, Luke Johns.

A celebration of her life will be held on January 9, 2025 at 12 pm, at First Baptist Church of Maxville, with Pastor Steven Gunter officiating and Pastor Richard Fish officiating the committal service at Long Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends and loved ones are invited to gather and honor the incredible life of a woman who truly embodied the virtues of love, faith, and family.

Though she will be deeply missed, Louise’s spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her life was a blessing, and her memory will be a treasure forever cherished.
