Lowell Franklin Young, Sr.

Young                                                                Lowell Franklin Young,Sr., 82, passed away on Monday January 13, 2020. He was born in Blue Creek, WV. to the late W.L. and Jettie (Guthrie) Young. He is preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline, daughter, Caroline Lowery, sons, Cecil Young and Lowell Franklin Young, Jr. Brothers, Charles, Jennings, Donnie, and Shirley Young, sister, Dorma Young. He was a veteran and served in the US Navy. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Jacksonville and the Boiler Makers Union # 199. Survivors include his Sons, Tony Mondrut, and Jerry Young;  daughters, Rebecca Young, and Fay Carter; 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, and host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11am at Calvary Baptist Church, 4040 Dunn Avenue on Wednesday January 22, 2020., with Pastor Jason Kratochvil officiating. The family will receive friends starting at 10am at the church.  Interment will follow with military honors at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
