Maria J. Senra Omerkov

Maria J. Senra Omerkov, 71, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021. She was born April 15, 1950, in Minho, Portugal, to the late Joaquim and Gloria (Dias) Senra and has lived in the United States most of her life. She is preceded in death by her husband Shefket Omerkov, daughter, Gloria Iris Omerkov, her siblings Jose, Maria, and Mario, and granddaughter, Heather Omerkov. Survivors include her sons, George, Omerkov, and wife (Tanya), Gary Omerkov and wife (Jackie) and Gregory Omerkov; daughters, Gail Hersey and husband (Brian), and Grace Theiss; brothers, Carlos, Joe, and Jack; sisters, Lola, Manda, and Ne; 7 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021, at 11 am in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin road Jacksonville, with Father Liguori officiating. The family will receive friends starting at 10 am on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Restlawn Cemetery, 2600 Ribault Scenic Drive, Jacksonville. Florida.
