Marilla Anne Edgeworth Sweat

Marilla Anne Edgeworth Sweat, 81, better known as ”Nana,” passed away peacefully with her family by her side on December 30, 2021. Anne was born in Florence County, Scranton, SC, and moved to Jacksonville, Florida, in her late teens, and there, she met the love of her life Roy K Sweat. They were married on June 22, 1962. Anne is preceded in death by her parents Dulah Todd Edgeworth and LH Edgeworth Sr. also, one brother LH Edgeworth Jr. Anne is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Roy K. Sweat; children, Greg Sweat and his wife Sharon “Shuga” Sweat, Joni Sweat Jenkins and her husband Robert Jenkins; one granddaughter Angela Jenkins Browning and husband Eric; one great-granddaughter Vivian James Browning;  siblings, Genelle Lee, Norman Edgeworth, Faye Collins, Charles Edgeworth, Jane Guthrie,  Marceline Allen, Douglas Edgeworth, Don Edgeworth, and Nancey Calcutt, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at 1pm in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday evening at the funeral home from 6pm until 8pm. In honor of Nana, please wear purple or something with butterflies.
