Mark Francis Ballinger

Mark Francis Ballinger, 62, of Jacksonville, Florida went to be with the Lord on October 31, 2021 following a long battle with illness. Mark was born in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Frank & Marguerite (Mahoney) Ballinger on November 18, 1958. A lifelong native of Jacksonville, Mark graduated from Duncan U. Fletcher High School in 1977 and was a general contractor by trade. He married his best friend and wife of the last 22 years Linda (Platt) Ballinger on June 12, 1999. Mark truly lived life to the fullest and never met a stranger. He loved skateboarding, surfing, traveling, Bob Marley, construction, and great food, especially smoked meats. Mark is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Eileen (Ballinger) Roberts, and daughter Brandi. He is survived by his wife, Linda; sons Dustin (Shelly), Donald (Kellie), and Milton (Lovely); daughters Kimberley (Mark), Mellissa (Corey), and Erika and a ton of grandchildren. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday November 5, 2021 at 6:00 pm at Duval Station Baptist Church 13734 Lyle Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32218. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to Wounded Warriors.
