Mary Frances Browning, 88, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away Friday, January 22, 2021. She was born April 7, 1932 in Maxville, Florida to the late Francis and Myrtle Coleman. She was a resident of Ormond Beach, Florida for over 30 years and a retired bookkeeper at Waste Management. Although she lived in Ormond Beach for many years, she also kept a residence in Maxville which she considered her home. She was a member of Jones Road Baptist Church. She loved baking, and all the family knew “Aunt Mary” would bake their special cake upon request.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Harry L. “Buddy” Browning; siblings, James Coleman, B.F. Coleman, Shirley Eichelser, Evelyn Taylor, Minnie Pellum, and Donnie Coleman. Survivors include her daughter; Terri (Joe) Shofner, Hastings, FL; grandchildren, Gary R. Louis, Kayleigh (Paul) Mathisen, Christopher Walls, Jr., and Jennifer Ratcliffe of Ormond Beach, FL, Ava, Ema and Eli Shofner of Hastings, Florida; great-grandchildren, Callie, Grace & Bella Mathisen of Ormond Beach, FL as well as many nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Long Branch Cemetery in Maxville, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Community Hospice & Palliative Care of Jacksonville in her honor @ communityhospice.com
