Mary Ann Mize

Mary Ann Mize, 84, passed away on Thursday August 18, 2022, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Claxton, Georgia in 1938 to the late TM and Maybell (Brown) Smith and has lived most of her life in Jacksonville. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Russ Smith, James Smith, Marie “Sissy” Walters, Bobby Smith, Alice “Tutie” Blount, Tommy Smith (Edith), Charlotte Adcock, and  Jessie Smith; Survivors include Charles Smith (Mae)
She is survived by her children; Gary McGinley, Larry McGinley (Beck), Annette Litzelman (Mike), Terry McGinley (Judy), Marry Parrish (Bobby), Carlton McGinley (Melissa) and John Mize (Niki). She has 13 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.There are many others, friends included, that have shared a spot in her home or on her front porch who will forever hold her dear and whom she held close to her heart. 
 Funeral services will be held on Tuesday August 23, 2022 at 11am in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, with her son Rev. Larry McGinley and Rev. Jimmy Flannagan officiating. Interment will be held in Ferreira Cemetery Jacksonville. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6pm until 9pm at the funeral home.
