Matthew S. Meadows

Meadows                     Matthew S. Meadows, age 53, went home to be with the Lord on August 2, 2021 in Jacksonville, FL. Matthew is survived by his wife of 30 years, Jeanna Meadows, and their three children Jordan Meadows(26), Jonathan Meadows (22), and Melea Meadows (20). He is predeceased by his father, Billie Meadows and his mother, Jackie Meadows. Matthew was born on December 30, 1967 in Birmingham, AL to Billie and Jackie Meadows. He graduated from Samford University with a degree in psychology. After marrying his wife, Jeanna, on January 5 th , 1991 they moved to Fort Worth, TX where Matthew attended Southwestern Theological Seminary and received a double masters in Religious Education and Family and Marital Counseling. After graduating, Matthew and Jeanna moved to Jacksonville, FL where Matthew became the Pastor of Discipleship and Biblical Education at San Jose Baptist. After leaving San Jose, he became the head pastor of Heckscher Drive Baptist Church. He later departed from Heckscher and joined New Berlin Road Church as the Head Pastor. That was his last church and he served there for 14 years. Amidst all these years pastoring churches, Matthew also counselled countless couples and families. His passion in life was healing broken relationships through the Word of God. Whoever he talked to orinteracted with, he made sure to make an impact for the Kingdom. He truly lived Matthew 28 out in his everyday life. Not only was he an incredibly gifted teacher, but a faithful husband and committed father. He stopped at nothing to provide for his family and be present at almost every extracurricular activity his kids participated in. A celebration of life service will be held at New Berlin Road Church on Friday, August 6 th at 4:30p.m.2351 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218
