Melda Elaine Mullin

Melda Elaine Mullin, 90, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023. She was born in Somerset, Pennsylvania, in 1932 to the late Walter and Edith (Day) Shaffer and has lived in Jacksonville since 1985.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Mullin, and sons, Terry Mullin and Mark Mullin.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend and will be dearly missed. Survivors include her daughter, Debra Murphy (John), brother, Ronald Shaffer (Mickey); grandchildren, Donald Mullin, Amanda Mullin, and Jason Allen; great-grandchildren, Skye Allen and Sydney Allen, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at 11 am in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, with Rev. Dan Ruffin officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday starting at 10 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Riverside Memorial Park, Jacksonville.
