Michael Patrick Carter

Michael Patrick Carter, age 65, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, December 30, 2022, surrounded by his daughters and best friend. He was born August 5, 1957, in Corpus Christi, Texas to the late, Glenn Isaac Carter and June Elizabeth Vogt Carter.

Michael was an Army Veteran. He also loved football and was an avid Gator and Jags fan. He loved spending time with family and friends. Especially his best friend, John (Buck) Hessong, and his wife Connie Hessong. Michael loved and adored them both.

Michael was preceded in death by his brothers, David and Jed Carter and daughter, Michael Ann Carter.

He is survived by his wife, Veronica Burns; children, Heavenly Carter, Carrie Shiver (Blair), Mikki Kimbrell (Logan), William Burns (Taylor), Christina Limpens; grandchildren, Drew, Kayleigh, Brittney, Jess, Cian, Katherine, Brodie, Ryleigh, Steven, Madelyne, Nicholas, Alexander, Freya, Maeve; great grandchildren, Lane and Karter; sisters, Debra Crews, June Carter, Betty Wagner (Jimbo);several nieces and nephews, and a host of other friends and relatives.

Services will be held Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Jacksonville National Cemetery at 9:30 am. The family would like to say a special thank you to Community Hospice, the Nassau Team for everything they did for their father. It meant more then you know.
