Michael Rodgers Obituary

Michael “Mike” Rodgers passed away Friday,  August 7, 2020 at the age of 72.
Mike was born September 9, 1947 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Victor and Bessie Rodgers.
Mike graduated from Ribault High School in 1966. He married the love of his life on August 30, 1968. Mike was very patriotic and served in the Marine Reserves for 6 years. He was an electrical supervisor with Anheuser-Busch and retired in 2002 after receiving his successful heart transplant.
Mike was known for his witty sense of humor, fun loving personality, and he had a joke for every occasion. He was an amazing man and loved by so many, but will mostly be remembered by his family as a loving husband, father and papa.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Donna Eason Rodgers; three children,  Lorri (Shawn) Beltz, Chris (Yahaira) Rodgers, and John Rodgers; four grandchildren, Darwin Beltz, Haze Beltz, Victoria Rodgers ,Vincent Rodgers and brother, Dennis (Adele) Rodgers.
Mike was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbi Rodgers; sister, Peggy Brown and two brothers Victor Rodgers and Blaine Rodgers.
Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 pm on August 22, 2020 with Reverend Danny Baggett officiating at Cedar Bay Funeral Home, New Berlin Road.
