Myrtle McKibben Futch, 92, passed away on Saturday June 6, 2020. She was born in Thomas County, Georgia in 1928 to the late Alfred and Nannie (Williams) McKibben and has lived in Jacksonville since 1946. She retired from the Office of Vital Statistics for the State of Florida after 49 years of service. She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas M. Futch, Jr., brothers, Austin Mckibben (Betty), Orvin McKibben (Marie), and Alton McKibben (Almeta), sisters, Edna Francis (Johnny), Wynell Christensen (Garfield), Margaret Ricca (Louis), Sallie Mae Chadwick (Earl), and Mildred Posser (Olin). Survivors include her son, Thomas M Futch, III (Diane); brother, Watson Lee McKibben; grandson, Thomas M. Futch, IV and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday June 12, 2020 at 12pm in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, with Pastor Art Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery Jacksonville. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home.
