Omeria Higginbotham Davis

Davis, Omeria, age 80 of Jacksonville, FL passed away with her daughter by her side on April 3, 2021. Our mother, Omeria, enjoyed crafting with her friends and she loved to make others laugh.  She was active in her church.  She excelled in baking and cooking.  Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family.  She is preceded in death by her husband James W. Davis, parents Theodore and Hazel Higginbotham, sisters Betty Jane and Theda Mariam and brothers Theodore Jr., Robert P,. Elmore E., Timothy T., Russell W., Maurice G.

Her life was a living example of her favorite Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 — “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”

She is survived by her five children Robert G. (Veronica), James W. (Lisa), Russell G. (Julie), Theodore H. (Ruth) and Sindy L. (William Nathan) along with 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren

The family will receive friends starting at 10am on Wednesday April 7, 2021 at Cedar Bay Funeral Home 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday and Interment will follow at Ogilvie Cemetery Jacksonville.
