Patrick Anthony Huey

Huey - Patrick Anthony Huey, age 64, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on November 12, 2025. He was born on December 5, 1960, in Obion, Tennessee, to the late Samuel and Emma Huey. Patrick lived a life shaped by sincerity, quiet strength, and an enduring love for both music and the natural world. Music was one of Patrick’s greatest passions. A natural performer with a musician’s soul, he found purpose and joy in every note he played. Whether holding down the rhythm on bass, strumming a guitar, or picking up any instrument he could get his hands on, Patrick brought music to life with warmth, talent, and unmistakable heart. Over the years, he performed with countless bandmates who became more than collaborators, they became his chosen family. Through late-night rehearsals, live shows, and shared dreams, Patrick built lifelong friendships rooted in creativity, laughter, and a love for the stage. He also cherished the peace of the outdoors, finding comfort in the quiet beauty of nature and the simplicity of open skies. These passions, music and nature, shaped his days and brought him a sense of connection that stayed with him throughout his life. Patrick carried the values of resilience, kindness, and steady devotion throughout his life. Qualities that defined his character and touched the lives of all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Steve and George; and sister, Janice.

Patrick is survived by his son, Samuel Logan Huey; whom he loved deeply and proudly. Patrick’s legacy lives on in the lessons he imparted, the kindness he shared, the music he created, and the grounding presence he offered to everyone around him. Though his passing leaves a profound emptiness, the memories he created continue to resonate, like the songs he played, the laughter he shared, and the natural beauty he admired.
