Brown                                              Paul Vincent Brown, 77, passed away on Friday February 11, 2022. He was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi in 1944 to the late Alric Vincent and Pauline (McCain) Brown. Paul is preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Ann Hoben and step son William A. Long, Jr. Paul was a retired veteran from the US Navy as a Chief Petty Officer, serving as an Aviation Boatswain Mate ABHC on The U.S. Independence. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Betty Lou Brown; step daughter April E Griffin; sister, Sheila Blalack; grandchildren, James A. Bessent, Jr., Joshua W. Griffin, William Christopher Long, and Vanessa Long; great grandchildren, William Cole Long and Christopher Vincent Long; Aunt “Polly” Pauline Jenkins of Vicksburg, Mississippi, and Uncle Zeke Brown of Dallas Georgia, and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation and memorial will be held on Friday February 18, 2022 from 3pm until 5pm in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville.
