Obituary

Randall Lee Thompson SR, 64, passed away Wednesday, May 8 th, 2024. He was born on April 25 th,
1960, to the late Alton Eli Thompson SR and Jere Mae Thompson. He retired from being a car sales
manager for which he received many winning top awards. Randy loved to cook and was an avid
fisherman, some knew him as Capt. Randall. If you could not find him, just look on the water
and there he would be with the greatest fishing stories. Randy was also a serious football fan
and loved his Florida Gators and sometimes his Jacksonville Jaguars. His children and
grandchildren were his world, always bragging about them. Randy was also a terrific brother
and loved all his family.
Survivors include his daughter Melisa Cabler-husband DJ and his son Randy Thompson JR-
wife Rachel. Grandchildren Jade Cabler, Austin Thompson, Cru Cabler, and Kyla Thompson.
Sister Debbie Thompson-husband Lonnie and brothers Al Thompson-wife Darlene, Steve
Thompson -wife Linda. He had several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives,
and friends.
If you knew Randall, then you would love his amazing personality. He would do anything for
anyone and had the biggest heart.
There will be a celebration of his life at 11 am Friday May 17 th at Cedar Bay Baptist Church,
11553 N Main St with Pastor Bill Tyler officiating. The family will receive family and friends
starting at 10 am.
Randy is now fishing in the sky with Jesus as his Captain.
