Randy G. Heath

Randy G Heath, 81 passed away peacefully on Friday December 27th after a courageous battle with dementia. He was preceded in death by his parents; James C Heath and Edna Stevenson and brother Lloyd Heath.

He is survived by his beloved family: wife Alta Ann Heath, son Shawn Heath (Donna), daughter Kim Hammond (Kenny) and grandchildren Kaleb and Sage. He also leaves behind brothers, Gerald Heath and Robert Alan Heath (Cindy) and many beloved in laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Randy was born in Aiken, South Carolina and came to Jacksonville, Florida in his early 20’s with CSX. He also worked for Lewis Petroleum before starting his career and retiring from the State of Florida Department of Transportation. He briefly worked at Shapell’s Inc and Arwood Site Services until he completely enjoyed retirement.

In his younger years he enjoyed hunting, camping and going to the Jetties (Huguenot Beach). He would always share his hunting adventures and stories with everyone. Those hobbies quickly changed once he had grandchildren, they were his passion for life.

Services for Randy will be held on Monday, January 6th at Cedar Bay Funeral Home at 405 New Berlin Road Jacksonville, Florida 32218. The family will start receiving guests at 10:30 am, service will begin at 11:00 am—burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery 4535 N Main Street Jacksonville, Florida 32206.
