Raymond F. Lawendowski (77), retired U.S. Navy Master Chief after serving 20 years, passed away after an illness on Friday, October 8th 2021 at Kindred Hospital North Florida. He was married for 53 years to Diane (O’Malley) Lawendowski. Mr. Lawendowski was born in Worcester, MA., the son of Joseph C. and Regina Lawendowski, and then lived in Jacksonville FL after retirement. He leaves three sons, Raymond A., Matthew, and Steven. Three grandchildren, Jacob, Alyson and Jared, two brothers, Joseph from Charlton, MA and wife Marilyn, and Paul from Long Beach, CA and wife Linda. Many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Thomas and his mother Regina, father Joseph and three infant grandchildren, Cory, Diana, and Hunter. He will be forever missed by his family and friends, who will always recall his wit, feistiness, politics and most of all his endless devotion to all of them. Memorial services will be held at Cedar Bay Funeral Home on November 4, at 11am and the burial will follow at 1pm in the Jacksonville National Cemetery on Lannie Road. There are no calling hours.
