Regina grew up on the family farm near Felicity, Ohio, and was the saludatorian of her 1961 graduating class at the College of Mount St. Joseph holding a degree in Dietetics. Regina raised her family in Des Plaines, Illinois, and was a parishioner of St. Zachary Catholic Church where she enjoyed participating, singing, and dancing in the annual Port-of-Call fundraiser. She enjoyed gardening and hosting block parties with neighbors on Willson Drive. As an active member of the Cook County Democratic Party, she regularly volunteered as a poll worker for elections. Regina and her husband, Joe, later moved to Lenexa, Kansas, and then retired in St. Augustine, Florida.
