Renota Sherry McVay

Renota Sherry McVay passed from this life on January 12, 2025, after a brief illness. She was born June 10, 1952, in St. Johns, Newfoundland, Canada. At the age of five, she immigrated with her family to Jacksonville, FL, and remained there for the whole of her life. She led an active life and enjoyed exercise, hiking and travel. A devout reader, books were her true love second only to her family. She is survived by her husband, Gary McVay, her daughters, Traci Sinor (Brian Sinor) and Amanda McVay (Kenneth Wydra), her brothers Mathew Cason (Mila Cason) and David Cheers (Christine Cheers).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The National Park Foundation in her name.
