Robert Michael Cronan

Robert Michael Cronan (Mike), 51, of Jacksonville Florida, passed away on Monday, March 20th, 2023, with his mother Cynthia, and sister Rachel by his side.

Mike and his twin brother Chris were born on March 2nd, 1972 to Cynthia Henderson and Bob Cronan in Pawtucket Rhode Island. 

Mike is survived by his beautiful daughter, Cayla Michelle Cabrera, and his handsome and smart grandson Zayden Sean Cabrera.

He is also survived by his parents, Cynthia Henderson and Bob Cronan, younger sister, Angela Suydam (Mike), nephew Jesse Danielson, niece Hayley Danielson and her new baby Colton. The youngest sister, Rachel Bestwick, is now Rachel Jeck (Clayton).

Mike leaves behind his beloved best friend Rocky, aka “Rocky Boy” his 3-year-old Staffordshire bull terrier, and numerous friends. 

Mike was preceded in death by his older brother Stephen Cronan, (2001), and his twin brother Chris Cronan, (2022). 

Mike loved to travel, he lived in Las Vegas and California for short periods but Jacksonville is where he spent most of his life and called home.

Mike grew up skateboarding, fishing, playing sports, and surfing and excelled in everything he did.

Mike was pretty amazing with the fishing pole! He could catch a ton of fish in less than an hour. He had several secret places he knew to go for some good fishing. He’d cook almost everything he caught!

Mike traveled all over surfing or snowboarding everywhere from; California, Florida, Indonesia, Molly, Hawaii, Costa Rica Nicaragua, and El Salvador just to name a few.

If Mike wasn't fishing or on a board, you could find him restoring cars. Mike owned a shop rebuilding cars called Restoring Dreams, it was a frame-off restoration of old-school vehicles. Mike also owned a tattoo shop named Surfs up tattoos, had a clothing line “No Kooks” and worked as a welder.

The most precious things we leave behind are memories and photographs. The greatest memory is to know that in Mike's final days, Mike gave his heart fully to the Lord, an answer to our prayers. Our loss but heaven's gain.
