Robert D Morrison

Robert D, Morrison, 69, passed away quietly in his sleep on January 26th, 2022. Bob was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and raised in Rochester, N.Y. He moved back to Staten Island, N.Y. in 1973 and there at work is where he met the love of his life and Soulmate. He proposed 3 weeks later, and they were married 6 months later. They moved to Florida where Bob worked as a cook before joining the U.S. Navy. After many deployments and duty stations he retired from the Navy as an AZ1(AW) on the couple’s 22nd wedding anniversary. The ceremony was attended by many family members and friends. After a couple of years Bob joined the US Postal Service, where he worked until passing. Bob was a fun-loving spirit, and got along with everyone he met. He made friends with everyone all over the world, language being no barrier for him. He loved music, and attended many concerts. He was always proud that he was at the original Woodstock Concert, and always talked about it. He also attended many Rolling Stones concerts, The Who and The Eagles. He loved Led Zeppelin, and being a self-taught guitarist played their songs a lot. He also loved “The Minions” from the “Despicable Me” movies, and everyone came to know him as “Minion Man“, as he always had a shirt or hat with them on it. Bob is survived by the love of his life / Soulmate of 48 years, Eileen (Petrulonis), a son, Robert Victor, and daughter Margaret Ann (“Peggy”/ “Marji”). Also brother John T. Morrison, brother James A. Morrison (Valerie), brother-in-law Victor Petrulonis (Judy) and various other family, friends and co-workers. The Widow requests please, no flowers.
