Robert Franklin Owens, Sr.

Owens – Robert Franklin Owens, Sr., age 72, of Callahan, Florida, passed away peacefully at his home on January 20, 2026. He was born in Newport News, Virginia on April 18, 1953, to the late Wallace Owens and Viola June Pierson Croswell. He worked on a tugboat and most of his life worked as a mechanic. In his spare time, Robert loved to fish and enjoyed watching TV.

Robert is survived by his companion, Gayle; children, Kandie Pass (Denny), Robert Owens, Jr. (Neta); grandchildren, Jordan Burden (Bethany), Marissa Borgen (Charles); siblings, Delores Johns (Rocky), Patricia Armstead (Neal), Burnett Pierson; ex-wife, Edith Tarrant; and a nephew and nieces.
