Robert Earl Smith, Sr.

Robert Earl Smith, Sr., passed away on Friday, July 3, 2020. He was born in Jacksonville Florida in 1955 to the late Bob and Carol (Wagner) Smith and has lived in Jacksonville all of his life. Robert was the owner of Robert’s Semi Trailer Repairs. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, son in law and friend and will be missed by all. He loved fishing and helping others in need. He is preceded in death by his son, Robert Smith, Jr. Survivors include his wife of 44 years Peggy Sue Smith; son, Christopher Smith; brothers, Raymond Smith, and David Smith; sisters, Wanda Petty (Dennis), Tina Butler (Keith), and Bobbie Higginbotham (Keith); grandchildren, Dylan Smith, Dustin Smith, Drake Smith, Sophia Latina, Katherine Latina, mother in law, Mary Gill; and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 9, 2020, at the Dunns Creek Baptist Church 1425 Starratt Road, Jacksonville, from 5pm until 7pm. Cedar Bay Funeral in charge of arrangements.
