RONNIE Edward KELLY, age 71, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida, on April 2, 1952, to the late Jack, Senior, and Aline (Ring) Kelly. He is preceded in death by his sister, Sandra (Kelly) Rowe. Survivors include his brothers, Jack, Junior (Paula), David (Peggy), and Dean (Kris), along with five nieces and four nephews. Ronnie was an accomplished musician, playing drums, piano, organ, and saxophone. After graduating from Ribault High School in 1970 he obtained an AA degree from Florida Junior College At Jacksonville, in 1976. Ronnie was a proud Staff Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, serving his country for 14 years. He loved to fly and was a licensed private pilot. He was employed by Airborne Xpress and later DHL Xpress before retiring in 2009. He was a member of Moose Lodge 2134, since 2001. Ronnie‘s favorite charities were Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital and the Jacksonville Humane Society. Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at 12 noon, at Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Rd., Jacksonville, FL, Followed by an interment at Jacksonville National Cemetery at 2:30 PM. The family will receive friends on Tuesday morning at the funeral home starting at 11 a.m. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations being made to the above-name charities.
