Roy Curtis McCormick, 75, of Jacksonville, Florida, also known as the Trainman of Papa’s Barrels of Fun, sadly left us on April 20, 2024, following a short battle with terminal cancer. Roy passed at home surrounded by his family and friends. Roy is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sharon McCormick, daughter Kellie Bennett-Sweat (Joey), son Curtis McCormick (Lauren Pitzer), brother Ernie McCormick, sister Donna Hall, grandsons Cody Godwin (Melody), Dustin Godwin (Ashley), Caleb McCormick (Faith), granddaughter Raegan McCormick, great-grandkids Brinley Godwin, Paisley Godwin, Kaden Godwin, Kinsley Godwin, and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held in his honor at Cedar Bay Funeral Home, with immediate family and visitation from 10 -11 am with services starting at 11:00-12:00. Burial will follow at the National Cemetery at 1:00 sharp. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please donate to the Wounded Warriors Project.
