Ruston Michael Jenkins

Ruston Michael Jenkins, 45, departed this world for his heavenly home on Monday January 9, 2023.
Born January 1, 1978 to Von K. Jenkins and Earnest M. Jenkins. Michael was the first baby born in
Jacksonville, Florida that year. Michael enjoyed the outdoors, he was an avid hunter and also loved to go
fishing. He loved his son, grandchildren and family endlessly. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his
brothers. You would often see Michael standing at a creek holding a fishing pole or tracking through the
woods looking for a good spot to hang a tree stand. Michael was an avid Florida Gator fan. Michael was
always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need without question. Michael was saved and loved
God, He would read his bible daily. Michael lived with struggles everyday but you could never doubt his
faith or heart. He had one of the biggest hearts you would ever find, he never met a stranger.
Most importantly, Michael, found our Lord and Savior some years back before gaining his wings.
Michael is now rejoicing in Heaven with his Dad, Uncle Billy and Wilbur.
Michael is preceded in death by his father Earnest Morris Jenkins, along with several other aunts, uncles
and cousins.
Michael is survived by his son Chase Jenkins, grandsons Kenneth and Jaxton, his mom Von K. Jenkins;
brothers Morris(Jennifer) Jenkins and Richard Jenkins, sister Jennie. Nieces and nephews Richie, Harley,
Matthew, Tony, Cheyenne, Madison, Kamryn, Alissa, Krystal, Johnny and Kenny. Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
