Sandra Hazouri Smiley

Sandra Hazouri Smiley, age 82, of Jacksonville, FL.passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2021, at Baptist Medical Center South.  She was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville and the daughter of the late Victor J. and Thelma Hazouri.  She shared 62 years of marriage with her beloved husband Harold D. Smiley, Jr.  Sandra was a loving mother and grandmother who supported her children in all of their endeavors, including Little League. She graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in 1956 and attended Jacksonville University.  As an accomplished painter, Sandra enjoyed doing arts and crafts, which she shared with her husband.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her devoted husband, Harold D. Smiley, Jr. (April 2020). 

Survivors include her sons, Douglas V. Smiley (Sandra D.) of St. Johns, FL and Kenneth A. Smiley (Linda L.) of Jacksonville, FL; daughter, Holli L. Smiley-Tamburro (George E.) of Jacksonville, FL; brother, Honorable Fred A. Hazouri (Barbara) of West Palm Beach, FL; sisters, Cathy L. Hazouri of Boulder, CO and Selma E. Hazouri of West Palm Beach, FL; grandchildren, Matthew D. Smiley (Ivo), Jeremiah Tamburro and Jasmine Tamburro.

Committal services at Jacksonville National Cemetery will be conducted at 2:30 pm on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, where she will be laid to rest with her late husband.
