Sharon Marie Bruton

Bruton - Sharon Marie Bruton, age 77, of Jacksonville, Florida went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 14, 2025. She was born in Tampa, Florida on October 10, 1947.  Sharon was the first-born daughter of Charles Alton Durham, I and Mattie Pearl Payne Durham. In 1967, she married the love of her life, Elmer, and together they shared 58 wonderful years of marriage. Sharon is preceded in death by her parents.   

Sharon leaves behind her loving husband, Elmer Bruton, Jr.; along with Angela Bruton (Zack), Jason Bruton (Jean), David Bruton (Casey), Christopher Bruton (Ashley), Kayla Creech (Eric), Ty Creech, Autumn Bruton, Coast Bruton, Shannon Hyatt (Don), Kelsy Perry, Hyatt Perry, Colton Gay, Colby Gay, Jordan Jenrette, Jaiden Scott, Bryce Scott; her siblings, Betty Crews (Ronald), Gail Hall (Larry), Charlotte Moody (Ben), Terri Kennison (Daniel), Charles Durham, II (Brenda); and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends that were more like family.

A Celebration of Sharon’s Life will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Cedar Bay Baptist Church, 11553 N. Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32218 with Pastor Jordan Chambers officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
