Shirley Marie Owen Harvey

Shirley Marie Owen Harvey, 88, passed away on the 29th day of January

2023. She was residing with her daughter, Michele and previously lived at

71 E 56 St. Jacksonville, FL. She was a graduate of Gretna High School,

and received a BA from Lynchburg College, VA. She moved to Florida in

1955, where she was married to her loving husband, Buddy for 48 years

and raised her three children. She was employed by Duval County School

system as a substitute teacher for 35 years. Besides being a devoted

mother and wife, she loved to fish, enjoyed arranging flowers, and rooting

for the UF Gators and Jacksonville Jaguars. She is survived by her

children, son Craig Harvey and wife Heather, son Eric Harvey and wife

Jeannie, and daughter Michele Mesiano and husband Drew. A viewing will

be held on Saturday, February 4th at 2:00 PM at Cedar Bay Funeral Home

at 405 New Berlin Rd, Jacksonville, FL. Funeral services will start at 3:00

PM with a brief graveside service at Evergreen Cemetery to follow.
